A solid VPN

I've been using NordVPN for over a year and have had a great experience with it. I've used it while traveling throughout Europe and Asia, and even on cruise ships, and it has performed reliably. Overall, it's a solid and dependable product. Occasionally, I've encountered a few websites that won't open while NordVPN is enabled. In those cases, I simply pause the VPN, access the site, and then immediately re-enable it. Once you know which sites don't work well with a VPN, it's really not a big deal. Overall, I've been very satisfied with NordVPN and would definitely recommend it.

Honestly the best

I’ve tried express, pia, and other “free” vpn’s and they actually can’t compare. They’re not terrible but not the best. Honestly free VON’s are why I wish I never tried them because they basically sell your data for money right behind your back which is the OPPOSITE of why you use a VPN. You don’t know where your personal data is going. I did some research on Nord, and discovered they are pretty much the only one with un-hackable software and security. I know we like to be skeptical, but I honestly feel like NordVPN does care. I also have had zero issues with data connection other than me needing to manually go into the application, and refresh my IP connection to a different server and it just works! It’s not just about being a customer, it’s about giving the people what they want when it comes to giving access in hopes of “is my data actually safe?” running in the back of my head. Who truly knows?…But if it’s genuinely protecting my data from lunatics on the dark web who want nothing more than to take away your personal information, then I say it’s 110% worth it. I feel like from someone who doesn’t really know too much about VPN’s, I’ve come to learn that if it’s protecting you from WiFi and other unsecured networks, and giving you A-Grade data connection to servers across the globe, keeping you online with top grade encryption and keeping your data safe…then that is what truly matters.

Best VPN hands down! (Not just for iPhone)

I have been using NordVPN for a little over a month now, and I could not be happier! Even being the tech nerd I am I have always been hesitant about paying for a VPN subscription because I believed it to be a waste of money. I would use trashy free VPNs to simply get around firewalls, but with free VPNs also comes zero consistency (aka slow and constant connection issues). I have definitely been proven wrong though thanks to Nord. On my IPhone 14 Pro it runs as if it was one of Apple built in functions, and I expect that is runs the exact same on older iPhones. It is incredible well integrated into iPhones, having its own Home and Lock Screen widgets making it easy to pause/unpause, essentially meaning you technically don’t ever have to directly open the app past setting it up. It is consistently fast with no noticeable differences compared to using without. A big thing for me is that unless I tell it to it never disconnects, ever! Another thing to not look past is the incredible amount of servers they have (5,777 to be exact). I can connect to any one of those servers and have just as fast of a connection. Nord is not only amazing on my iPhone but also on every other device that I have (besides my Apple TV which is not supported with a special setup). While they offer many subscription plans I chose to stick with the one year which came out to be around 65 US Dollars give or take. But after using Nord for only 5 weeks I highly recommend doing there longest plan which I believe is a 3 year plan. Trust me it is well worth the investment and they often have huge deals sometimes cutting the price down in half. I could continue to go into the numbers and there many awesome features and tools but I recommend visiting there website for more info. As you may clearly see from the large paragraph above I am very happy with this purchase and as a tech nerd I would say it my best purchase to date!

Great product and service

We have been using about 7 months and it works perfectly. We are visiting other countries and sometimes you need to be able to be in your home country for banking and other stuff. Works great . We even bought a dedicated IP address to some other connections. I will continue to use this in the future.

Honest review

I can’t say that NordVPN has saved my identity. The ramifications of me getting this security is unknown to me. What I can say is this, I’ve not had any fraudulent charges since I got this service. And when I browse the internet, I feel secure that I’m protected. That alone was worth the service.

Finally broke down

And got a professional VPN. This one is absolutely painless and I haven’t noticed any slowdown in my connections. Took less than 5 minutes to configure and I no longer have to think about it, it just works. On all my devices.

Works great

Absolutely great. I was back and fourth about getting it but it gave 30 days money guaranteed back so I purchased it and it’s been great. I did a 2 years subscription because the price was better.

Straightforward easy to use

I used NordVPN for years I was able to find out that information of mine had gotten onto the dark web. What does this mean that’s easy or VPN explains almost everything which is why I like it. Simple, straightforward, excellent speed👍

Can’t get a connection

Overall, it’s been working well over the past two months. About two-thirds of the time, it connects smoothly with fast speeds. However, for the remaining one-third of the time, it fails to connect no matter how many times I try. Changing servers doesn't help either. Whenever this happens, the connection page shows 'Unable to connect, Get Help.' When I click it, it says I'm on the 'User Network,' but since the VPN isn't connected, I can't actually open that page. It's a total Catch-22. As a result, it hasn't been working properly for the past 4 days.

Nord VPN is decent, with room to improve

I switched from Express VPN to Nord about 6 months ago, when Express was acquired by a shady management firm. Nord was top-rated by tech sites I trust, so I gave them a try. The app is ok, but not perfect. It has a nasty habit of showing you as “connected” when it is still working to establish or re-establish connection; this is frustrating: Express VPN was always my “canary in the coal mine,” alerting me to network issues as soon as connectivity began to degrade. It is also vexatious that Nord shows “connected” while it is still negotiating the assignment of an IP address; sometimes I’ll later return to the app and discover that this process had stalled, and that troubleshooting of the network connection or the app is needed. Throughput is generally satisfactory; I don’t require blistering speeds for my purposes, and Nord almost never slows me down. Stability is excellent: the app has never crashed on me. Generally a good app, and I am essentially happy with it.

It used to be great.

Recently it became useless in the Middle East, I loved it at the beginning, but now I had to go back my old VPN. After receiving your reply to the above review telling me to contact your support, from the region where I live I have to use another vpn to contact you, you should have more clear and telling your customer where your vpn is useless before buying it. I am cancelling my subscription, and my message to whoever read this message nordVPN doesn’t work in the GCC country.

The New UI Creates Major Usability Challenges

With the recent changes of Nord’s UI, you can no longer access key tools like connection details and the reconnect button without first delving into settings. Essentially making what would’ve prior been immediate front page access into a multi-click goose chase just in the hopes you can reach a server that isn’t flagged. In addition, the UI is a lot more clunky; giving a certain sense of feel that the quality has most likely been reduced by private equity firms for the sake of making reconnecting to one of their “less flagged” servers more difficult to access. This is a similar issue to how if you refresh too many times, it’ll restrict your access to a new server for a few minutes leaving your IP exposed. Servers are growing increasingly more flagged by websites and Nord has unfortunately yet to do much to resolve it from what I’ve witnessed. These changes are only a sample few of the degradations I’ve seen mentioned in other reviews. I sincerely hope to see this issues resolved as a nearly five year client. If not, I will have to search for other more reliable alternatives if customer service is lacking. (Which is a core reason on why I’ve stayed so long)
