NordVPN Best Buy reviews

Highly recommend nordvpn users buy this

Good deal. Cheaper than nordvpn's own deal. Keeps anonymity when using nordvpn.

Working like a charm!

Have used other VPN services, am finding NordVPN superior. Features like the Onion network router (TOR) are especially good for going deeper into anonymous mode. Am easily able to quick connect to different country/routers with one quick. Am very happy with this purchase!

Great price and fast VPN

Great investment, my previous VPN went out o service due to COVID sadly. But NordVPN has been great. I got it in my phone and my fire stick and the best part you can set up to connect automatically so you will never forget to turn it on. Also it’s really fast for a VPN.

As described protection

Have been using this now for sometime and works flawless masking my IP. Definitely worth it and recommended for P2P downloads.

Excellent VPN for the price!

NordVPN is a really good VPN, offering options for things such as Peer-to-Peer networking. They also offer options for out of the country, such as China. This is really useful. Definitely would buy again. Lastly, the price point is excellent.

VPN useful overseas

Very easy to purchase. It allows us to access US sites overseas.

One of the best...

I've had NordVPN now for 3 years, probably close to their start. I use them on a Mac, iPads and iPhone, Their apps are tops, easy to use. Plenty of servers to pick from, and they do not keep logs.

Nord VPN Review.

I am happy with my Nord VPN. It doesn't slow down the internet too much. The huge advantage is that I can have plenty of servers to choose from. The fastest ones are usually the closer ones of my location. I don't like that when my PC wakes up from standby, the Nord VPN doesn't reconnect automatically.

Good Value

This is a good and more affordable way to view International television. Once I learned to cast from phone to TV, it was a breeze.

Works fast

I was using HMA VPN, and this product works faster, and the connection seems quicker. A happy camper.

Fast and Reliable VPN connection

Fast and reliable VPN connection. Easily installed in. my Mac Mini M1.

Quite satisfied with the purchase.

I am using NordVPN for last 2 years and found it worthy of my purpose. Less hassle with more virtual locations to access. Quite satisfied with the purchase.

Good Product

Excellent vpn. One recommendation is to make it work better with Netflix. For some reason Netflix is able to detect nord vpn and not let me sign in. Otherwise good product and easy to use app.

Does the job. You can’t afford to not have this level of protection for your network and when you’re out in about on the laptop or phone.

Use this while you're traveling

Easy to use, and very friendly. Used the VPN while traveling in Europe and Scandinavia. Ease of mind when you're doing something that involves money.

This producti is perfect for security and privacy! Espically if you trade crypto currency!

Enhanced Security, Some Hiccups.

Overview: NordVPN, acquired for its promise of heightened security on public networks and remote work scenarios, proved effective in concealing my online identity. However, certain glitches, connectivity issues, and toggle challenges affected the overall user experience. Pros: Anonymous Browsing: NordVPN succeeded in cloaking my IP address, thwarting basic packet sniffers, and keeping websites from accurately determining my location. Fast Servers: The servers maintained commendable speeds, ensuring a seamless online experience without restrictions on necessary resources. Security Boost: NordVPN provided an additional layer of security, crucial for maintaining privacy when connected to public networks. Responsive Support: The support team showcased exceptional responsiveness, swiftly addressing activation issues and redirecting to the correct page for a prompt resolution. No Auto-Renewal Hassle: NordVPN stands out by avoiding mandatory auto-renewal and credit card requirements, providing users with a convenient and straightforward subscription process. Cons: Network Speeds: While security was paramount, the VPN caused a significant reduction in network speeds on my usual network, dropping from 100 Mbps to 30/20 Mbps. Connectivity Issues: Frequent disconnections and struggles in poor network areas hindered the overall reliability of the service. Toggle Challenges: Disabling the VPN, particularly on the iPhone, proved to be cumbersome, involving multiple steps and occasional glitches. Incorrect Activation Link: The activation link provided in Best Buy's email was incorrect, leading to initial confusion and requiring assistance from the support team to rectify. User Experience: The security and anonymity provided by NordVPN were generally satisfactory. However, the noticeable reduction in network speeds and occasional connectivity issues, along with toggle challenges, detracted from the overall user experience. Customer Support: The support team's efficiency in redirecting to the correct activation page after an initial link error showcased a high level of customer service. Setup and Price: Setup was straightforward, with a setup guide received within 30 minutes of purchase. The absence of auto-renewal and credit card requirements added to the positive user experience. The price was reasonable for the features offered. Conclusion: NordVPN proves itself as a reliable security companion, especially for users prioritizing privacy on public networks. Despite some drawbacks like reduced network speeds and toggle challenges, the overall performance, fast servers, and responsive customer

Good investment

Greta price worth the privacy, must have for security

Great vpn

Great vpn works perfect! fast downloading speed :)

Top shelf

Wireless headphones noise cancelling. Great buy, great results.

Does what it says

Got this as a digital download and once it finally came it's just ok. I'll give it 4/5 because it's just ok. It is truly easy to use, point and click, but has its issues too. I'm using windows 7 so maybe that's why but it just slows my speed down and crashes my system but like I said it could be my old version of windows. So if you have Win10+ it may be the perfect fit. Beyond all that it does what it says it does, gives you multiple devices to use it on, and is pretty straight forward. Out of all the vpn's there are this one is worth getting.

This

Great product, would recommend to anyone looking for this

Good

Very good protection and hide your home IP........

Work great depending on what your purpose is

In my case, i used when downloading something from unsafe website. Speed is another thing though. It has quick connection by selecting “best” server for you but it is not always best, weekend is the slowest speed no matter what server it connect to. I have service with ISP download speed at 14Mbps and the fastest when using NordVPN I can get 12Mbps, not bad. But in weekend I barely get 1Mbps

LIGHTINING SPEED INTEGRATED VPN

This is a highly reliable VPN that allows surfing over the internet to be anonymous. Stream videos or music and watch any TV program. It offers excellent protection against viruses and malware. The VPN is fast and easy to navigate with multiple varieties of components to enhance your experience as a user. I would recommend it to a friend.

Good value for the price

I travel frequently and at times to countries that will not allow me to make purchases or do business in the states, this VPN solved that problem for me. You can easily choose which servers you want to use. In my case I chose a server inside the USA and had no trouble on my last trip.

Easy to use great value

Is a great product and in a great price. You can use 5 pc at the same time and the speed of the server is good. I have to use it little more to make a better judgment. Overall for now is great!

Good, but...

Bought this to protect transactions. What I found was some retailers wont accept connections from outside the US. Also services like Pandora are not available if you are connected to foriegn servers.

So far, so good

First time purchasing a VPN. Once required inputs were finally figured out, which was not exactly clear on Best Buy's part, and the Nord website initially was not accepting my code, I was able install and run without difficulties able to figure out the easy set up, no difficulties at this point. Hoping I am protected and the year of service will be hassle free.

First time user of vpn

I was looking to purchase an vpn and Best Buy have a discount price. Traveling overseas it comes in very handy to watch my streaming services

Good price on a good VPN

The price is excellent and allowed me to use up some points. This is the second best VPN out there, in my opinion. It is the best value when you compare cost and service.

Great VPN

NordVPN is a good product. It has a lot of extra options/features compared to other products that I have used.

Great VPN

This VPN is fast and seems to have many locations around the world. Having many servers around the world means it will be fast no matter where you travel to.

great protection

I needed to put protection on my tablet and called the geek squad. a very helpful person talked to me about this coverage. works as expected.

Good VPN

First time trying out VPN(personal), so I like the protection a lot. However, the price is kinda high. Have to think about purchasing again

Overall a Good Option for the Price

Overall a Good Option for the Price however country list is a bit limited in comparison with other VPN solutions.

VPN

Pretty good vpn can put on multi devices and can be used overseas. easy to set up

6 devices !

loads very easy to new devices after the first. I like it !

Great

So far so good just had it foemr a couple weeks. Will need to have it longer for a better review.

Works well

Good price. Easg to install. Works well. One of the best VPN on the market

VPn is a must now.

Still using it and will buy again. feels good to buy it and not thing about it for 365 days.

Useful but slow and software is problematic

I came to this from another VPN provider due to the sale and the fact that my year was up with the other provider. Heard a lot about Nord so decided to switch. Not a great idea. First off, it is much slower than the other provider. Understand that all VPN will slow you down some no matter how robust their servers are and how close to you they are. Even after swapping around servers to find a closer/faster one I was still a lot slower. Second, the software is problematic at times or maybe it is just NordVPN themselves. If I enable my VPN and start browsing I will find after some period of time that I show connected but I can't open anything. I have to disconnect and reconnect. This same issue exists on two different Windows machines. It also exists on a Linux box where I use OpenVPN for the connection to Nord, which leads me to believe it is their servers that are the problem more than the software. This also has happened on my cell phone as well as when the laptop in question is connected to other networks so I know it is not my local network setup. All in all this is not a bad choice for someone who just uses Windows and needs a VPN, but it is not a great choice for anyone who wants something that just works and works well.

You have to give up a lot of speed for security.

Lots of servers to choose from in many countries. You can select a server based on your Internet usage. My Netgear router with DD-WRT can be used as a client so that all devices connect to it are covered. Unfortunately, the connection is very slow. No matter what server in whichever county I choose, my speed is very slow. Using Speedtest.net, my upload speed is always faster than my download speed. I usually see around 10%-15% of my normal speed when the VPN is connected.

Great purchase

So far so good a great choice for now and a great purchase

Works well

I like the software for the ease of use and the speed of the vpn. Most locations stay under 20% usage.

Privacy

I still have to install this. I got it for more online privacy and to reduce those annoying ads that follow you.

First time using vpn

Nord is the first VPN I have used and am happy with it

Worked great

The code worked great but some numbers look like letters so make sure you look closely at the code they provide.

Great for watching my movies on line

This program allows up, daily updates on the movies.

Awesome product

Awesome product, I wish I had it before and I like the fact that I can use it for more than one product. One of the better choices I made.

Nord VPN

so amazing product, I can watch Netflix from all around the world.

Amazing VPN

[Employee of bestbuy] Great product! Works like a charm. Perfect for when traveling out of country

Excellent

I bought it online and it became active within a day, I use it with pleasure.

its an amazing product if you like to be hidden

best hands down vpn just about known to the world if you find better let me know

Great vpn

One of the best no logging vpns you can buy, and best buy puts it on a deal of the day quite often.

Speed Issues

Before purchasing, I did do research online on the top VPN's were and Nord was one of them. I saw it was on sale here so I chose to get it. Now no matter what VPN service you go with, you are going to lose speed. My internet speed is currently 100 Mbps without the VPN. No matter what I tried in the settings, the top speeds I was getting were around 40-50 Mbps. I contacted Nord help via e mail, and it took about a day to get a reply. They would send me wrong info too [I have win 7 and they were sending me steps for win 10] After about 9-10 reply's on different steps to change settings, I gave up. Although they do have excellent features, I should not have to do so many steps to try to get the speeds up. It should just work. [And none of them worked for me]. Maybe it just depends on your location for the speeds to be decent with Nord like a bigger city. If speed is important to you, then I do not recommend.

Great VPN

I was looking for a secure VPN and this one is amazing I’ve had it on since I brought it.

Great Vpn

It never a bad idea to be as safe as possible online. Nord vpn is great and performs very well.

a must have for a nomad

great but i will say it doesn't work on airplanes and some events software like hopin

VPN

It is such a very useful tool, awesome product. I will continuing buying tis product in the future.

Privacy

I am completely satisfied with this VPN thus far, and I see no reason to change.

Works great so far

Bought this to protect my privacy. Seems to do the job fine.

great product to have

Excellent product to protect your web surfing privacy. Get it for yourself

Awesome job

This vpn works flawlessly. It does the job and would buy it again.

Works great!

Works great on my pc and it doesn't slow it down at all!

Great VPN

It does what it is supposed to do, very happy with my purchase.

Amazing

I love this and i think you would too if you like online privacy!

Excellent VPN Service

I've never had a problem withe the service. Love it!

Do I really need NordVPN if only use it at home?

Give this product a 3 due to: it was recommended by laptop add and seemed a good idea for an added protection notch. I do 85% of my online work/play at home using my own WiFi. I do not use a laptop away from home.

Pajama

I couldn't get it to work on my computer and tech support was no help.

fine VPN but not the greatest user interface

for someone who is new to VPNs the process of buying Nord from Best Buy wasn't super great. The code did not work until I contacted support. Since then the product works great though. Exactly as advertised.

Pretty Good Software

Software works fine. Connecting to the VPN is sometimes frustrating depending on which device I’m using.

great product

The only complaint I have is that you can't renew your subscription through these cards ! Other then that its a great program

Great user friendly vpn

I have used nord for some time. Good service. I already had a previous subscription, and was buying this to renew it. Was a bit difficult getting it applied, but I figured it out

HP laptop - good performance

So far so good. I don't use it too often, but I like what it's capable of doing

interesting

Thought I would try it out and so far no complaints. Interesting what other countries get online.

keeps out the bad stuff

this virus control does a good job of keeping out the bad stuff

Works likes a charm , once you figure it out

The directions were a bit tricky but it worked as expected .

Fair

It is fine as i cant use a lot of stuff with it as some websites don't allow vpns

Nord works well

Used this while I was deployed. Works like a champ and smooth as butter!

Good VPN

This is a good VPN but the mobile app could be better compared to competition.

Not as good as promoted

Nord Vpn not as good as promoted, Wire guard ( Nordlynx ) not as fast as being promoted, Interface on android tv lacks user control compared to android version. Exspress vpn showing faster speeds and easier setup.

There are glitches

When is a bargain not a bargain? When it blocks Amazon & slows your network printer to a crawl. I've actually uninstalled Nord VPN until I have time to fight with it. The Amazon issue is known....couldn't find much on the network printer issue. Thinking I could put it directly on my router but if it screws up on each device what will it do to my router??

Blocked by way too many apps/sites; technical bugs

Blocked by way too many sites/apps. Pause feature is nice but if you have to use it at least several times a day then almost totally negated. A simple feature like auto-connect on MacBook was overly complicated (redirected twice then I had to sign in on my Apple ID EVERY time) and does not forebode well for a smooth technical experience going forward. Lastly, thought I had cancelled before the first month and was intending on doing the 30 day money back guarantee and informed them just a couple days afterward. Would not honor the 30 day money back (no biggie) but wouldn’t refund the even when I offered to pay prorated, and even sent me the terms and conditions in quotes in an email. Any company who can stand by their product refunds if you go just couple days over, in my experience. Express VPN is comparable in speeds and superior in every other respect (especially number of blocked sites/apps) so am going with them.

NOT COMPLETELY ENCRYPTED! (DNS SERVERS!)

It's 2024 and they do not offer a secure DNS, an encrypted domain name service with their own servers! Simply outrageous and there's no way to find out until you install it and test it and see what's happening. Complete disappointment, am requesting a refund from Best Buy since Nord will not refund the purchase. He indicated that they are working on it but have no estimated time for completion. With Cloudflare have free DNS over TLS setup in my Asus router, which is actually more secure than Nord's own VPN with their unencrypted DNS.

Sloe, slower, the slowest: stay away

very slow when loading and even slower when "protecting". Actually it "protects" so well that you cannot reach some website, and I speak about common sites. Paid $120 for a two year plan (the only one available at that time) and I have to uninstall it. A complete loss. Needless to say, contray to all stellar reviews, this is a piece of garbage software.

Too little, too late!

Support for this product appears to be non-existent. I cancelled my subscription renewal because I could never deal with an actual human being! It seemed to cause additional problems with accessing normal websites and used and I could not get an explanation on how to access the website again. I just think it caused too many problems and provided too little help in understanding how to use it!

NordVPN is a SCAM

Amazing Rip-Off from the Norton company. I have tried several times to actually get the $40 VPN to load, but only get taken to new windows wanting me to pay more and more. This is a SCAM! I'll be looking to Best Buy to refund my money. Wow!

Very Slow

Without VPN: http://www.speedtest.net/result/7811239713.png With VPN http://www.speedtest.net/result/7811248054.png Very convenient no refund policy. Complete crap.

Doesn’t work, extremely slow Speed-test.

Doesn’t work, extremely slow Speed-test. Consistently being knocked offline on Firestick. Inability to choose which VPN you want to connect to. 300mbps download Speeds when off drop to 30mbps if lucky when on. Save your money.

Not working

The reason it’s not working is because NordVpn dont offer 1 year subscriptions anymore so the purchase is not valid Bestbuy needs to refund our money, stop selling a discontinued digital download, and stop acting as if they dont have a clue whats going on bery disappointing

Regretting my purchase of this product

didn't work at all and Geek Squad couldn't install it for me. After 4 phone calls and more than 6 hours work with Geek Squad I didn't get anywhere and finally I bought this product twice with no use so far. I wasted my money and time.

Horrible waiting time

I but this digital download but I've been waiting for download more than 4 hours, how can a digital download take so long to appear for download? I want a refund!

SCAM

Expired after 2 days and cannot be reactivated without paying! Geek Squad virtual agent was no help and I cannot bring it to a store because of current situation

dont buy from best buy

more a review of best buy than nord, bought the vpn but could not get the product because of a invalid code i was givin by best buy, its a month later and still not resolved

Not worth of my time

This much shift going on with this order and they send me a link can’t install

Not reccomend

Junk, did not work was not protected, My computer acted like there was malware attached had to uninstall.

Hummm just trying

Just trying this PVN service what i dont like is that since i had it i have change de password like 5 time with in weeks

Just OK.

Unable to down load VPN. Contacted BestBuy and was put on hole foe over 1 hour. Just gave up!!!

Good if internet is above 100 mbps

It’s good when I am at my work but at my house for stuff that is only on WiFi it won’t work

Slow

This is the first time I've used a VPN and I did not expect it to be such a drag on my connection. I don't know if all VPNs are this way but I definitely won't use this one again.

not usable in specific countries

I was not able to use this VPN in specific countries that I needed VPN, ofcousre it work in USA but not much coverage outside

It's ok

I bought this online and it took them 4 days to send me the code then to activate you have to use a credit card.I will never by download software from bestbuy

Rip off only get half the time

I bought a 1 year service as I have only had for 6 months it's now telling me to choose another subscription. I have 6 more months left on my subscription so I don't understand why I need to buy more coverage. Ripoff

Nord vpn 1 year

Never could figure out how to use the download it didn’t work. Absolutely no help from Best Buy through email either. Ticked off.

Don’t buy if you want to use in China

Bought this to use in China, to later find out it doesn’t work at all in China. Don’t get if you are traveling to China. Works great in America. Wish they would of told would be customers that their program does t work at all in China.

cant use it

I can't access my email or other important apps when I activate this product. Therefore, it's a waste of money for me to have purchased it.

Run from buying from bestbuy

Do NOT buy from best buy. Dont buy from here! Do not buy from this supplier. Dont waste your time with best. Buy.

never

Canceled subscription and couldn't get money back! Would never buy from them again!!

Thia item sucks

Do not buy you cant evwn use this try redeeming and was not able too dint even get my money back what a rip off.

JUST GET A REAL NON DIGITAL VOUCHER

Pain in the butt, waiting for code from mANFUFACTURER THEY SHOULD HAVE MAILED ME ALREADY. pain in as

Scam

Bought it, but code is invalid to redeem. Worst part is that i cant request a refund on this.
