NordVPN vs CyberGhost: more devices and countries, or lower prices and a longer refund
By Jean Luc Poitier, SEO and growth marketing strategist · NordVPN Reviews · Updated November 3, 2026
NordVPN covers more: 10 devices instead of 7, servers in 150 countries instead of 100, six no-logs reviews to CyberGhost's three, and malware and scam blocking plus Meshnet in the app. PCMag gives it an Editors' Choice; it scores CyberGhost 4.0 without one. Among recent invited Trustpilot reviews, NordVPN also scores a little higher.
Pick CyberGhost if price comes first. It is cheaper up front, renews at less than half of NordVPN Basic's yearly rate, gives you 45 days to ask for a refund instead of 30, and lets you try the desktop app for a day without a card.

Price: CyberGhost costs less now and later
CyberGhost's 28-month plan is $61.32, about $33 less than NordVPN Basic's $94.23 for 27 months. The gap widens at renewal: CyberGhost renews at $61.32 a year and NordVPN Basic at $139.08. CyberGhost also sells a 6-month plan ($41.94) that still carries its 45-day refund, a length NordVPN doesn't offer. NordVPN's higher plans add malware and scam protection, a password manager, and more, which CyberGhost sells separately or not at all.
Network and devices
CyberGhost lists more servers (9,600 against 7,200+), but NordVPN reaches more places: 150 countries to CyberGhost's 100. If you need to appear in a smaller country, check both lists. NordVPN covers 10 devices at once and CyberGhost 7, which matters for a household with phones, laptops, and a TV stick. Both run RAM-only servers and sell a dedicated IP as an add-on.
No-logs audits and ownership
Both have had their no-logs claims checked by an outside firm. NordVPN's policy has been reviewed six times, by PwC in 2018 and 2020 and by Deloitte every year from 2022 to 2025. CyberGhost's has been audited three times by Deloitte Audit Romania, in 2022, 2024, and 2025. CyberGhost is part of Kape Technologies, which also owns ExpressVPN and Private Internet Access, so switching between those three keeps you with the same parent company.
